Internal door FAQs
What sizes do you do?
All the standard UK internal door sizes, and we measure every opening on the home visit rather than going off what you think the old door is. If an opening is an odd size we’ll tell you on the visit and price it accordingly.
What’s the difference between primed, unfinished and fully finished?
Fully finished doors are lacquered at the factory and ready to hang — no painting, no mess. Primed doors come with a base coat on, ready for you to put your own topcoat colour over. Unfinished doors are bare timber for you to stain or paint from scratch.
Can you do fire doors?
Yes — FD30 rated doors, available in most of the styles on this page. They’re a requirement in places like loft conversions, integral garages, HMOs and flats, and they have to be fitted with the right hinges and intumescent seals to hold the rating. Tell us where it’s going and we’ll sort the right spec.
Do you take the old doors away?
Yes. Old doors, packaging and the mess that comes with hanging them all go with us. We hoover up before we leave.
Do I have to have handles from you as well?
No. We can supply handles, hinges and latches to match, or fit the ones you’ve already bought. We’ll bring the handle range to the visit alongside the doors.
How far do you travel?
We’re based in Darwen and cover Blackburn and the wider North West, out as far as Liverpool. Anything beyond about an hour’s drive carries a fuel charge, which we’ll tell you about up front.
